COMPARE · GOHIGHLEVEL

A GoHighLevel alternative for auto shops? Start with who will build and run it.

HighLevel is a broad marketing and CRM platform with published plans, many of them aimed at agencies that manage several client accounts. Foloup is a narrower text-based follow-up and booking workflow that SKAIA installs and monitors for a shop. Neither is automatically the better choice. This page compares what each one publicly states, what it costs, and what you would be responsible for.

What HighLevel says it offers

HighLevel's homepage lists a CRM, sales pipelines, websites, funnels and landing pages, a consolidated conversation stream (SMS, Messenger, Instagram DM, WhatsApp and live chat), email, SMS and WhatsApp broadcast campaigns, calendars, automated review requests, Conversation AI, Voice AI, workflows and automations, and payment integrations. Its pricing page lists Starter at $97 per month, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497, with a 14-day free trial, month-to-month billing and no long-term contract. These are HighLevel's own statements; we have not tested HighLevel.

What Foloup does, and what it does not

Foloup focuses on one part of that territory: text follow-up after a missed call or website inquiry, estimate follow-up and the booking decision, all on one customer record. Follow-ups are held for approval before sending. SKAIA configures the workflow, tests it and monitors handoffs during a 30-day pilot. Foloup does not answer voice phone calls, does not build funnels or run ad campaigns for you, and does not promise integration with a particular CRM, POS or shop-management system.

The deciding question: build it yourself or have it installed?

HighLevel gives you a wide toolkit. Its pricing page notes that AI features require setup and ongoing human oversight, so someone — you, a staff member or an agency — designs and maintains the automations. Foloup is narrower and installed by SKAIA, so you get less breadth and more done-for-you scope. If you already work with an agency that runs HighLevel well, that may serve you better. If no one on your team will build workflows, compare the cost of that time as well as the subscription.

HighLevel: points to check

  • The plan price is not the full cost. HighLevel states that phone, SMS, email and AI usage are charged separately, and AI Employee add-ons are listed at $50 or $97 per month per sub-account.
  • Plans are described in agency terms (sub-accounts, SaaS mode, rebilling). A single shop should check which plan and setup it actually needs.
  • The configuration work is yours. Budget for the time, or for an agency, to design, test and maintain the automations.

Foloup: limits to know

  • Much narrower scope: no website or funnel builder, no ad management and no voice phone reception.
  • No promised CRM, POS or shop-management integration; compatibility is checked individually.
  • SKAIA Inc. was incorporated in 2026 in Calgary, so Foloup has a short public track record. There is no free trial; the paid pilot is the starting point.
  • SMS is on every plan, but email follow-up and the CRM module start on Growth, and daily send limits apply.

HighLevel may suit you if

  • You want one platform for websites, funnels, CRM, messaging and AI, and you or an agency will build it.
  • You want a free trial and month-to-month billing.
  • You need voice AI or calling as part of the same platform.

Foloup may suit you if

  • You want a specific follow-up workflow installed and monitored rather than a toolkit to assemble.
  • You want follow-ups held for your approval before they send.
  • You prefer published CAD pricing and a measured 30-day pilot with an agreed stop decision.

Questions before you choose

Can Foloup do everything HighLevel does?

No. HighLevel covers websites, funnels, broad marketing and voice AI. Foloup covers follow-up and booking workflows only.

Which one costs less?

It depends on usage and setup. HighLevel's plan price excludes usage charges and your own build time; Foloup has a setup fee and plan limits. Compare both for the same workflow and volume.

Can we use both?

That is possible in principle, but running two messaging systems to the same customers needs clear rules about which one sends what. Check that before any pilot.

This page does not claim either product is better or promise results. Fit is checked in an individual consultation and pilot.
