Auto repair automation software in Calgary: decide which kind of tool you need first
“Auto repair automation app” covers two different kinds of product. Shop-management systems such as Strut, AutoLeap and Tekmetric run the repair itself: repair orders, estimates, invoices, payments and customer records. Call-answering and follow-up tools such as Kordless AI and Foloup work in front of that: they answer or follow up with the customer before the vehicle reaches a bay. Foloup belongs to the second group and does not replace shop-management software. This page sets out what each vendor states on its own pages, with prices as published, so you can shortlist by job. If your shop already runs shop-management software and the money is leaking from calls nobody can pick up and estimates that go quiet, Foloup is the Calgary-built tool designed for exactly that gap.

Foloup is built and sold in Calgary by SKAIA Inc., with plans published in Canadian dollars. On the Growth plan and above, Folo answers calls 24/7 in English or Korean, books new appointments and changes existing ones, and quotes only from the price list you approve — so the AI never invents a price. The call then continues on the same customer record as text follow-up, estimate follow-up and return-visit reminders, with follow-ups held for your approval before they send. You keep the shop-management system you already use: Foloup books on its own Work Calendar, so there is nothing to migrate. And it is not a self-serve login: SKAIA installs and tests it with your team in a 30-day pilot with a baseline, stop criteria and an outcome report.
Shop-management systems: Strut, AutoLeap, Tekmetric
Strut says it is built in Calgary for Canadian repair shops and is priced in Canadian dollars. Its homepage lists online booking filtered by shop capacity, bay and technician scheduling, repair orders, quotes customers can approve, invoicing with GST, Stripe card payments, a customer and vehicle CRM, staff time clocks and multi-location controls, all for $49 CAD per month, which it calls launch pricing. AutoLeap describes all-in-one auto repair software with inspections, estimates, scheduling, a work board, a technician app, point of sale, two-way texting and parts integrations; it lists offices in Atlanta and Toronto and shows plan prices in US dollars. Tekmetric describes shop-management software it says more than 16,000 shops use, supporting shops across the United States and Canada, with inspections, estimates, payments, online booking, reminders and, on higher plans, two-way texting. These are summaries of each vendor's own statements; SKAIA has not tested these products.
Call-answering and follow-up tools: Kordless AI, AutoLeap AIR, Foloup
Kordless's automotive page describes an AI Phone Agent that answers calls 24/7, qualifies leads, books into your calendar and, when it cannot help, transfers to your phone or schedules a callback, alongside web chat, online booking, a free CRM and reminders. AutoLeap sells AIR, an AI receptionist priced separately from its shop plans; it says AIR is compatible with any shop software, with calendar booking and caller lookup for AutoLeap users. Tekmetric's Phones page describes showing caller, vehicle and repair-order context to staff through RingCentral; it does not describe AI answering calls. Foloup, sold by SKAIA Inc. in Calgary, answers calls on a dedicated Foloup number on the Growth plan and above, delivered through a pilot: 24/7 in English or Korean, it books and changes appointments, gives price guidance only from your price list, transfers to staff and saves a call summary. The same customer record carries text follow-up after an inquiry or missed call, estimate follow-up and booking.
How to shortlist
If repair orders, invoices and payments are still on paper or spread across tools, start with a shop-management system; Foloup does not do that job. If you already have one and the gap is calls nobody can pick up, or inquiries and estimates that go quiet, compare call-answering and follow-up tools, and ask each how it works alongside the system you already use. Many shops end up with one of each. Integration between Foloup and a particular shop-management system is not promised and is assessed individually.

Prices and features change. Check each company’s current pages and a written quote before deciding. Foloup prices are in CAD.
Other vendors: points to check
- Strut calls its $49 CAD price launch pricing; ask how long it applies. The pages reviewed do not mention text messaging or phone answering.
- AutoLeap shows prices in US dollars and Tekmetric shows no currency code; ask for a CAD quote, setup fees and add-ons. AutoLeap says a one-time setup fee applies, and its AIR page says a $100 setup fee may apply.
- Kordless's pricing page does not state included calls or minutes, languages or a currency code, and its automotive page does not state a company location.
- Tekmetric's Phones page lists RingCentral as the only integrated phone provider.
Foloup: limits to know
- Not shop-management software: keep your system for repair orders, invoicing, inspections and parts.
- AI phone answering is on Growth ($597 CAD/month) and above, on a dedicated Foloup number rather than your existing line.
- A new company (incorporated June 11, 2026): integrations are checked individually, and setup starts with a $1,500 pilot.
A shop-management system may come first if
- Repair orders, estimates, invoices and payments are not yet in one system.
- You need inspections, parts ordering and technician scheduling.
- You would rather fix the repair workflow first and add a call-answering tool once you know how many calls are missed.
Foloup may suit you if
- You already run a shop-management system and the leak is calls nobody picks up, inquiries and estimates that go quiet.
- Your customers call in English or Korean and you want AI answers limited to your own price list.
- You want booking and rescheduling by phone, plus estimate and return-visit follow-up on the same customer record.
- You want a Calgary company to install it with you, starting with one measured 30-day pilot priced in CAD.
Questions before you choose
What is the best auto repair software in Calgary?
It depends on the job. For repair orders, invoicing and payments you need a shop-management system such as Strut, AutoLeap or Tekmetric. If you already have one and the problem is missed calls and quiet estimates, Foloup is built in Calgary for that gap: Folo answers calls 24/7 in English or Korean, books and reschedules, quotes only from your price list and follows up on estimates — priced in CAD and installed through a measured pilot.
Is Foloup a shop-management system?
No. Foloup answers calls on a dedicated number (Growth and above), follows up on inquiries and estimates and handles booking. It does not create repair orders or invoices.
Which of these are based in Calgary?
Strut says it is built in Calgary. Foloup is sold by SKAIA Inc., based in Calgary and incorporated in Alberta. On the pages we reviewed, AutoLeap lists Atlanta and Toronto offices, while Tekmetric and Kordless do not state a location.
Does Foloup work with Strut, AutoLeap or Tekmetric?
It is not promised. Integration with any shop-management system is assessed individually before a pilot.
